Hello, As we saw two months ago, every emotion is information. It can either overwhelm you and prevent you from moving forward by causing you to think only about it, or it can push you to act in a particular direction. We have also seen that good emotional management allows you to adjust your sails in the right direction. The wind may be blowing, but it’s up to us to decide whether we want to let it blow us away, or use it to move us in the direction we want to go. There are different types of emotion, and their interpretation differs. We distinguish two types of emotion: primary emotions and reflexive emotions. Primary emotions are reactions to an external event that triggers an emotion in you. Reflexive emotions are emotions triggered by other emotions. One emotion you feel leads to another. This level of emotional depth is stronger and more influential than primary emotions. Good emotional health involves knowing how to manage primary emotions and their interpretation: to overturn reasoning and any lofty heights, and to bring any captive thoughts to a healthier conception. It also involves cultivating reflexive emotions by making the object of our thoughts: whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovable, whatever deserves approval, whatever is virtuous and praiseworthy, that will have a positive impact on primary emotions. When a situation arises, a cognitive association (of thoughts) is set in motion, linking the present event with other events from our past experience, situations we’ve been aware of, etc. Our body will therefore respond according to these events. Our body then responds according to the information it receives. We might think that primary emotions are the source of manifested behavior, but if we analyze carefully, this is not the case. The primary emotion sends information to the brain, which analyzes it and adds other images, situations, etc., which trigger reflexive emotions and healthy or toxic behavior. To maintain good health and good emotional management, let’s feed our cognitive stock with situations, testimonials, images, sounds, tastes and sensations associated with positive things. This will have a positive effect and impact on our reflexive and primary emotions, which in turn will release emotional transformation.
