Hello, Today we’re continuing our series on dream breakers with a particularly important element: your heart! And yes, your heart can be one of, if not the, biggest obstacle to realizing your dream. In the midst of hardship and trial, we tend to give in to our emotions, remember the past and its blessings, and let all that steer us in the wrong direction. From our heart comes our thoughts and the sources of life, so keeping our heart is essential to staying steadfast and fulfilling our dreams in a healthy way. By looking after our hearts, we look after our own lives and increase our chances of fulfilling our dreams by investing for the better. Unshakeable: a term that seems unattainable, yet is not difficult to achieve. It doesn’t mean losing your sensitivity, no longer feeling emotions or being a robot, but rather keeping your joy and making every day a cause for joy in every circumstance. Here are a few keys to keeping your heart and becoming unshakeable: Make peace with your past. Your past is… Past! When we go through trials and tribulations, especially when we make mistakes, we tend to believe that the world around us sees only that, and judges us constantly. Most of the time, this is just the result of our own conflict with our past: traces of “turds” polluting our hearts. The only influence your past has on you is the importance you give it. So make peace with it, so it doesn’t rot your present or your future. Don’t worry about what other people think! In any case, even if people really think badly of you, talk about you and judge you, it’s none of your business! They have the right to think negatively about you. They have the right to choose to judge you. If they wish to do so, it’s their responsibility. Your own responsibility is limited to your thoughts, your actions and their consequences. Just between us,

<< First name test >>You can insist on calling a glass of water a glass of mud, but that doesn’t make the water mud. In the same way, what people think or say about you won’t change who you really are. The only influence their words have on you is the importance you attach to them and the response you give. Wounding is temporary, healing is eternal. Every wound heals, more or less quickly, but eventually. Once healing is achieved, it is eternal. This doesn’t mean that you can’t be wounded again, but the healed wound remains healed. Know that, no matter what happens, the difficulties will eventually pass, so focus on the solution and persevere with your vision rather than getting attached to the problem and changing direction. You are the reason for your happiness! Don’t put the responsibility for your happiness in someone else’s hands. Your husband/wife, your children, your boss, your chef, your pastor, your leader, whatever… You alone are responsible for your happiness. Every day and every moment presents you with the opportunity to choose happiness or unhappiness. Every moment is an opportunity to seize life. The choice is yours and nobody else’s! Being happy is not a consequence, it’s a choice! Don’t compare yourself to others! Many people compare their life, their happiness, their situation, their difficulties to others, but you have no idea what others are going through or have gone through. We tend to believe that the grass is greener elsewhere, but this is only an impression, and others also have their problems and difficulties. Comparing yourself to others will lead you into delusion, jealousy or covetousness, and will only harm you. Stop waiting for answers to all your questions! Many questions come to mind, many questions torment us, but we have to accept that we’ll probably never have the answers to many of them on this earth. On this point, I like Stephanie Reader’s phrase “Ask yourself what you can do, rather than why things happen”. Cultivate positivity! Being positive will keep you and help you stay creative, enthusiastic and fuel your dream. We’ll take a closer look at this point in our next Newsletter, but you should already know that, as the Roman philosopher Seneque said, “Life isn’t about waiting for storms to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain”. Keeping your heart will lead you to be able to resist and persevere in all the trials you’ll go through. There’s no trial you’ll go through that isn’t too hard to overcome, and no trial you won’t be able to overcome. Hang in there, persevere and keep working your heart out to unleash the steadfast person within you! In our next Newsletter, we’ll be tackling another dream breaker: negativity.
