Hello, Many people I meet share their projects, their ideas, their dreams with me, and unfortunately many of them are also forced to admit that these ideas will remain ideas. I’m genuinely saddened to see this because I truly believe that these people, by putting their ideas into action, could have an unprecedented impact for a better world. What about you? Do you have any projects, ideas or dreams you’d like to realize that are gathering dust? My dearest wish for you is to see you realize and live your dream, to see you blossom to the full. In our previous article, we saw 2 keys to helping you get out of your comfort zone, out of your security, linked to intention: Your ability to value others determines your ability to get out of your comfort zone and live free
Your motivation is your greatest help in getting out of your comfort zone Intention is one of the first barriers preventing you from taking action. Once you’re out of your comfort zone, other obstacles often present themselves, and without wishing to upset or offend you, I call them “false excuses”. We can’t list them all here. However, some of them come up frequently, and there are 5 main ones that I’ll deal with directly: “I don’t have time”: this excuse may be the one I hear most often, but time is a resource, and like any resource, it can be prioritized, managed and adapted to our priorities. We all have the same number of weeks, hours and minutes per day. We certainly don’t have the same needs, responsibilities or priorities, and only you can know what they are. Most people haven’t been taught or coached how to manage their time, but today there are keys to optimizing your time. You can take a training course, come to our next workshop on October 29, or simply find some of these keys in this article written a few weeks ago by clicking on the following link: https://mailchi.mp/e42e94bc50ac/mon-temps-une-cl-pour-investir “Je n’ai pas d’argent”: in France, we have a cultural tendency to wait until we have everything before starting a business. This is true in every field, but money is a particularly striking one. We’re naturally very modest about money, and don’t dare broach the subject. And yet, it’s a major preoccupation in the hearts of men… You may not have the money to complete your project, but that’s not really the question. The question is: what can you do with what you’ve got? Whether you have 1, 10, 100 or 100,000 euros makes little or no difference, it’s how you manage it that matters. Google and Microsoft are giants today, but these two projects were started by two broke students in a garage. Today, more and more investors are rising up to help the new generation reduce this obstacle that previous generations have had to endure. “I’m not capable”: this expression is also very common and often makes me smile.
Negativity is a poison that eats away at you and destroys you. If you are capable of having the idea, you are the best person to bring that idea to fruition. You may not feel capable, and some people may remind you of this, but capability is acquired through training and experience. You are capable of much more than you think. Did you know that Walt Disney was told in his early days that he wasn’t creative? That Jack Ma (Ma Yun), founder of Alibaba (AliExpress) and one of the world’s 20 richest companies, failed and was rejected more than 20 times between elementary school and university? Or that Steven Spielberg was rejected three times from drama and film school, even though he certainly helped transform Hollywood cinema? Thomas Eddison made 1,000 attempts before he succeeded in creating the light bulb, and as he so aptly put it, “I didn’t fail, I just learned 999 ways not to design a light bulb”. Understand, failure is learning. You may not think you’re capable, but the only way to be sure of failing is not to try. “I’m too young”, “I’m too old”: we hear this a lot too, but let’s go back to Google, for example. The founders were 23 and 24 when the project was launched, and were still students. Let’s also look at Philippe Dumas. I love this example because it defies belief. This man always dreamed of being a model, but he didn’t necessarily have the physique for it, so he followed a different path, keeping his dream close to his heart. It wasn’t until he was 60 years old that this man decided to make his dream come true. Admit it, it’s not often you see a 60-year-old model? And yet he’s a huge success. It’s never too early and never too late to dream and fulfill your dreams, to enter your destiny. “It’s too hard”: I’d say yes, you’re right, but so what? Difficult doesn’t mean impossible! I love the phrase “they didn’t know it wasn’t possible, so they did it”. I’m a living testimony to the difficulties of life, yet I believe that anything is possible for those who believe. Where do you place your trust? That’s the real question! Nothing is impossible! We’ll come back to this point with some keys to staying steadfast in the face of difficulty in our next article. Einstein said, “Anyone who hopes to change a situation by continually doing the same things over and over is a fool”. Fulfilling a dream inevitably requires sacrifices and changes to be made, the trick is to know if you’re ready to pay the price and make the changes. For your own good, I’d advise you to be wise in your choices. One of the levers of success for any project is the balance between the 5 following domains: spiritual, emotional, physical, relational and material. But make sure that balance doesn’t become just another excuse to add to the previous list. As you can see, whatever the excuse, the important thing is not to see the problem per se, but the solution behind it.
You have a choice: be part of the problem or part of the solution. Either way, change is inevitable, so get out of your comfort zone and be part of the solution! So, in our next Newsletter, we’ll be looking at how to keep your heart to stay steadfast – an essential element in fulfilling your dreams.
