Hello! One of the biggest obstacles to growth is a lack of confidence and a feeling of incapacity, especially in France! Indeed, France is one of the most critical and demanding countries in the world. In the same situation, even if everyone sees the best (which would already be a miracle), even if everyone sees the good, the French will point out the one thing that’s not going well. We often wait and think that we need to acquire a complete set of equipment to kick-start our growth. In fact, it’s the best way not to grow! When David started out, he couldn’t wear the armor of a warrior; all he had was his zeal, his shoes, the truth, his belt, and a slingshot in his hand. If we put a pair of shoes, protective clothing, a helmet and gloves on a baby learning to walk, it will have difficulty moving and acquiring the gestures and strength needed to learn to walk. However, most babies eventually walk without any special equipment. Growth is progressive, not instantaneous. An English teacher who taught when I was studying to be a chartered accountant used to tell us about the stock market, which she specialized in with her husband. In the stock market, rates go up and rates go down, but if you’re patient and don’t let yourself be guided by fear and emotion during the downturns, you’ll find that in most investments you end up winning over time”. A fine illustration of progressiveness: growth is a process, not a momentary impact. We have our ups and downs, but by doing what we have to do, we always end up growing and evolving. To develop growth in the best possible way, we need to establish a growth plan and strategy. We all have strengths and weaknesses, and if there’s one thing to remember, it’s that each one of them forms a whole that we need to develop. Let’s take the illustration of a barrel. Each strength and weakness corresponds to a stave, its height corresponding to its level of development. The barrel’s capacity represents your full potential and optimal growth. How full can you fill your barrel without it overflowing? What will you have to do if you want to increase its capacity?
You can only fill your barrel up to the lowest stave
You will then have to increase the size of the lowest stave to be able to add more container
To develop your growth strategically, you will have to work on your greatest weakness. You’ll find that by working on your greatest weakness (or two or three for the most motivated), you’ll get results for your entire growth.

Developing your growth therefore involves setting up this circle on a continuous basis:
– An assessment
– An analysis
– A filter through your vision
– A strategic planning of results
– A timing of actions
– Feedback and possible readjustments This circle will thus ensure your continuous progress and lead you to develop exponential growth. To manage your progress, you’ll also need to stay focused on your vision, plan your actions and set a timetable. That’s what we’ll be talking about next time: Vision-Planning-Timing (VPT)!
