Hello, this new series is about growth, and more specifically about your growth. At the end of the day, we often hear about growth, but the first question to ask is, “What is growth?” How can we define it? The Larousse dictionary defines growth as an increase in the dimensions of an organized body as a whole, or of any of its parts. It is also the name given to the period during which this increase takes place. It therefore varies in each field, for each individual. To draw a parallel with the human being, I like to use the definition given by crystallography (the study of crystals). After all, you’re a real diamond, so we might as well stick to what’s right! It defines growth as “the phenomenon of enlarging a germ or crystal”. In this case, growth means the increase of something or the development of something new, a new project in gestation. To put it plainly, growth can be understood as letting out and giving life to what God has deposited within you! I call “ExponenCiel” growth holistic growth that goes beyond human understanding. It’s what God wants for us! Jesus announces this growth to us in a key verse (John 14.12) where He tells us: “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in me will do the works that I do, and greater works than these he will do, because I am going to the Father”. He is simply confirming what God has planned from the beginning, and the promises made since Adam. God is talking about this kind of growth, and when God says something, He does it! Growth as God conceives it is not limited to reproduction, it is lived out in multiplication. Multiplication is not just about oneself, but also about others. Who can make a multitude all by himself? I’m not going to draw you a picture, but it takes at least two to reproduce! The natural image is the same as the spiritual image; to begin reproduction, the first stage in multiplication, you need to be at least two: a learner and a leader. Growth is something everyone is looking for. Ask anyone without a mental disability, and they’ll tell you they want to evolve and progress. God didn’t design us otherwise. Whether we admit it or not, we want to progress and advance in life. Let’s not lie to ourselves! Changing the world remains the dream of many, as does leaving one’s mark, whatever form that may take. As Christians, not for our own glory, but for that of the one we love, our Lord and Savior, Jesus, that of our Father and that of the Holy Spirit. God wants His Glory to shine through you! This begins with your own change. We’re going to look at several keys to growth and change, but here’s the first: growth implies change!

Growth means perpetual change, continuous renewal. Your change will change the world around you. To do this, you need to integrate this and take the step of becoming a transformational leader. During my leadership training with Equip France (John Maxwel’s organization in France), Robert Baxter said this phrase that stuck with me: “The greatest gift God has given us is potential, the greatest gift we can give him is to develop it.” Many would say that Jesus was the greatest gift by giving us His life, but it’s important to remember that Jesus wouldn’t have had to give His life if man had grasped God’s greatest gift by living the life He was calling us to. Today, this is impossible without Jesus! He is more than a gift; He is the Father’s hand that gives us this gift. He is the way, the truth and the life. Jesus didn’t come to make us Christians or even disciples, he came to give us life. It’s up to us to decide whether we want to live it or not! Jesus is the way, the truth and the life; He is the fuel, the compass and the compass that guides you to green pastures. Let’s summarize the beginning of this series to start an ExponenCiel growth, 3 points: 1. God wants exponential growth for you, so lean on His promises, for He is faithful and fulfills what He says.
2. God has placed potential within you, and the greatest gift you can give Him is to develop it. To do this, become transformational: let yourself be transformed to influence and impact the world around you.
3. Holistic exponential growth is impossible without Jesus. Next time, we’ll continue this series with another key to developing exponential growth: the attitude to soar!
